The website was designed as a multi-functional digital ecosystem that supports training, community building, market access, and impact storytelling. Rather than a single-purpose website, this project integrates education, advocacy, membership, and ethical commerce to advance syntropic agroforestry adoption while connecting rural producers to health-conscious urban consumers.

Organization Background

SIYA empowers Africa’s next generation of agripreneurs by promoting syntropic agroforestry systems—a regenerative farming approach that mimics natural ecosystems to restore soil health, increase biodiversity, and produce truly organic food.

The organization operates at the intersection of:

  • Sustainable agriculture

Problem Statement

Many young people lack access to practical agricultural training, while rural farmers struggle to transition to sustainable methods and access reliable markets. At the same time, urban consumers face limited access to genuinely organic, traceable food.

SIYA needed a digital platform that could:

  • Educate and train youth in syntropic farming

  • Build a community of agripreneurs and outgrowers

  • Provide market access for organic produce

  • Communicate impact to partners, consumers, and investors


Project Objectives

The website was designed to:

  • Establish SIYA as a thought leader in syntropic agroforestry

  • Support training through the SIYA Academy

  • Enable membership growth and community engagement

  • Promote and distribute SIYA Organic Baskets / Bounties

  • Expand the outgrower farmer network

  • Drive newsletter subscriptions and coaching program sign-ups


My Role

I led the project from concept to implementation, handling:

  • Information architecture and content structuring

  • UX/UI design aligned with sustainability and impact values

  • Website development and responsiveness

  • CTA strategy for memberships, coaching, and subscriptions

  • Positioning SIYA as both an institution and a movement


Platform Structure & Key Initiatives

1. The SIYA Academy

The Academy serves as the educational backbone of the platform, offering tiered training in syntropic agroforestry.

Training Levels:

  • Free: Introductory workshops and awareness content

  • Intermediate: Hands-on system design and farm implementation

  • Master Class: Advanced programs for trainers and consultants

Impact: Builds a skilled youth workforce capable of driving regenerative agriculture adoption.


2. SIYA Outgrower Program

This initiative scales organic production by enabling trained youth to mentor rural farmers.

Key Features:

  • Graduate-led farmer onboarding

  • Technical support and quality control

  • Guaranteed market access through SIYA

Impact: Expands organic supply while creating income opportunities for farmers.


3. SIYA Organic Baskets & Bounties

A direct-to-consumer initiative delivering fresh, seasonal, chemical-free produce.

Product Range: Vegetables, herbs, fruits, cereals, meats, dairy, honey, and eggs.
